Harrodsburg, Kentucky – If you are in the market for antiques, look no further than Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill. Over 50 of the nation’s top dealers will exhibit a diverse range of collectibles at the 6th annual Pleasant Hill Antiques Show & Sale.
Featured in the June issue of Country Living magazine as a “summer hot spot for collectors,” the show offers 18th and 19th century Shaker artifacts, museum quality American furniture, jewelry, quilts, garden sculpture, fine and folk art and much more.
“Shaker Village is one of my favorite places, and a perfect spot for an antique show of this caliber,” said Shaker specialist Thomas C. Queen of Columbus, Ohio. Queen has participated in all previous shows at the village. In addition, he is co-curator of “I Don’t Want to Be Remembered as a Chair,” a special exhibition opening June 20, and featuring everyday objects chosen from the museum’s collection because of their association with individual members of the Shaker community.
The Pleasant Hill Antiques Show & Sale runs Saturday, June 21 from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and on Sunday, June 22 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 ages 6-12 and free for children under 6. Admission includes entrance to the show and village tours. One-hour excursions along the Dixie Belle are reduced to $5 per person.
Rod Lich Promotions, Inc., of Georgetown, Indiana, manages the show. Rod and his wife, Susan, promote other highly respected events including the Locust Grove Antiques Market in Louisville, KY, and the Kappa Alpha Theta Show in Bloomington, IN.
