Here in past days gentle Shaker Sisters graciously offered their guests simple meals, served on white dishes on scrubbed wooden tables. What the Shakers prepared was plain, yet touched with loving care: rich cream, eggs, butter, meat and vegetables, the fruits of their labor.

Every meal at the Trustees' Office Dining Room is a celebration of traditional Kentucky fare. It is also the perfect place to enjoy special occasions.

The Trustees' Office Dining Room takes great pride in serving dishes prepared from fresh ingredients grown in our own heirloom gardens whenever possible, and with ingredients grown by neighboring farmers.

Many of the recipes served in the dining room are included in our collection of Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill cookbooks, available for purchase at our online craft store.

The Trustees’ Office Dining Room is closed December 24 and 25, and from January 2 through February 10 all meals are served in our Winter Kitchen.
