Discover hundreds of wildflowers throughout Shaker Village. Find every shape and shade of natural beauty along the trails. Spring wildflower blooming season runs from February through early June, with peak blooms in mid-April. Mid-July brings peak summer wildflower blooms.

Seasonal Highlights

  • Spring – Varieties of spectacular Trillium, Fire Pink, Blue Phlox, Bloodroot and Blue-Eyed Mary’s carpet the forest floor.
  • Summer – Pale Purple Coneflowers, Bergamot, Butterfly Milkweed, Sunflowers and Black-Eyed Susans provide spectacular blooms throughout the village’s prairies.
